Abstract

This article critiques and deconstructs the paradigm of human extraterrestrial expansion, shifting the focus from technical dimensions to a rigorous ontological analysis of existence on lunar frontiers devoid of terrestrial ecological support. Utilizing Space Ethics and Instrumentalism, the study examines the identity crisis, revealing that lunar settlements trigger profound ontological liminality that destabilizes traditional ego-centric ontologies. Within this vacuum, Buddhist philosophy is re-framed as a sophisticated “Intellectual Technology”—functioning as a vital mechanism for governing sensory architectures and mental discipline under extreme ontological pressure.

The key findings assert that Paṭiccasamuppāda (Dependent Origination) serves as a critical logical strategy for maintaining spiritual stability among trans-planetary subjects, enabling a systematic re-interpretation of the self-environment relationship. This leads to the synthesis of the “Cosmic Navigational Logic Model,” an intellectual innovation designed to transform human presence from colonial exploitation into a state of existence guided by universal wisdom and cognitive resilience. Ultimately, the article advocates for the transcendence of traditional humanism, establishing a lunar civilization anchored in ontological authenticity and sustainable inner freedom within an emerging cosmic cosmology.
