Study of Social Development According to Theravada Buddhist Philosophy of Wat Naung Pha School, Kholam District, Namsang Province, Shan State, Republic of the Union of Myanmar

Abstract

This article aims to study 1) the social development according to Theravada Buddhist philosophy, 2) the role of social development of Wat Naung Pha School, Kholam District, Namsang Province, Shan State and 3) to analyze the social development according to Theravada Buddhist philosophy of Wat Naung Pha School, Kholam District, Namsang Province, Shan State, Republic of the Union of Myanmar.

The results found that:

1) The social development according to Theravada Buddhist philosophy  is the process of creating physical and intellectual growth, which is the development of a person to be mature, responsible and  moral to live in harmony with others in society.

2) The role of social development of Wat Naung Pha School, Kholam District, Namsang Province, Shan State, the Republic of the Union of Myanmar found that it is a measure that develops people physically, mentally focusing on meditation practice playing and the role in development of the society mainly covering the 6 perspectives.

3) Analysis of social development according to Theravada Buddhist philosophy of Wat Naung Pha School, Kholam District, Namsang Province, Shan State, Republic of the Union of Myanmar was found that Wat Naung Pha School plays roles and duties in accordance with the principles of the discipline and correspondence with the problems of urban society headed   by Temple’s Abbot administrating the Religious activities.
