A Study on the Factors Supporting for Removing Defilements of the Buddhist Way Medical Volunteers

Abstract
The aims of this research were: To study on the factors supporting for removing defilements according to Theravada Buddhism, to study on the factors supporting for removing defilements of the Buddhist Way Medical Volunteers, and to analyze on the factors supporting for removing defilements of the Buddhist Way Medical Volunteers under principles of the Theravada Buddhism. This is a qualitative research of the literature, in-depth interviews and observations of participation. The research found that:
The factors supporting for removing defilements according to Theravada Buddhism mean cause for the arising of the Threefold Training to reduce greed, anger and delusion comprised hearing from others by association with virtuous person and listening true doctrine of the good until arising confidence, training rules of morality together with true friend, doing things leading never to decline but only to prosperity with virtues for fraternal living, living configuration that appropriate, having good health, not encroaching on any life, doing the right thing, eating one meal a day, reasoned attention, being honesty, earnestness in pursuit of virtue, having mindfulness and awareness, contentment with necessary factors, having energetic effort, having wisdom to reading the symptoms of defilements, having noble treasures, doing the cause of wisdom, and having dharma to rely on.
The factors supporting for removing defilements of the Buddhist Way Medical Volunteers there are a total of 18 factors comprised respecting the virtuous leaders, having good friends who helping to remove defilements, respecting the resolutions of good friends, living in good components, having knowledge of self-reliance on health, observing the precepts, developing potentials of self-reliance, training to eat one meal per day, seeing the value of renunciation, being honesty, striving to benefit oneself and others, having conscious and sensible, living self-sufficiently, having perseverance to remove defilements, knowing how to read the symptoms in your own mind, having perseverance to exam the results of remove defilements, having perseverance to approach the virtuous person, and rely on Dharma.
The factors supporting for removing defilements of the Buddhist Way Medical Volunteers are consistent with principles of the Threefold Training in the Theravada Buddhism.
