Abstract

The Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region is home to approximately 85 higher education institutions, including 38 undergraduate institutions and 47 vocational and technical colleges. These institutions are primarily situated in cities like Nanning, Guilin, and Liuzhou. Universities in Guangxi boast a formidable research team with advanced professional titles, high academic qualifications, and exceptional research capabilities, including experts who are recipients of special allowances from the State Council and young and middle-aged experts with prominent national contributions. They are dedicated to scientific research and technological innovation across various fields. Government reports indicate that universities in Guangxi receive substantial research funding, yet the rate of research output is comparatively low. Some universities have received over 100 million yuan in cumulative government research funding and have undertaken nearly 1000 research projects, yet the degree of achievement in transforming research outcomes into practical applications is quite low. This underscores several challenges in translating research outcomes into practical applications within these institutions. Consequently, this study investigates the influence of learning organizations as mediating variables in emotional management, knowledge management, and perceived benefits on the research performance of professors in Guangxi universities. The research seeks ways to enhance the rate of scientific research output in Guangxi universities, facilitate the conversion of more research outcomes into tangible productivity, and amplify contributions to the economic and social development of Guangxi and ultimately the entire nation.
