Abstract

A Study of Social Friendships in Modern Society and Self-Development aims to analyze patterns of personal relationships and approaches to effective self-management. The study found that people generally associate with both good and bad friends, with most being negatively influenced by groups of bad friends. Moreover, the modern definition of friends is not limited to peers of the same age but extends to media and environmental factors, such as online media. The study found that friends are crucial in life, especially when facing problems or obstacles that cannot be managed alone. Effective personal development skills require understanding of thought processes and behavioral changes, as well as applying psychological principles in managing negative emotions, viewing problems from new perspectives, and utilizing one's strengths for development, which leads to sustainable personal transformation.
