The Characteristics of the Cultural Space of Junzhuang Yangge

Abstract: This study examines the cultural space of Junzhuang Yangge by delineating its three primary dimensions: material, social, and spiritual. The material space is characterized by its enduring stability, evidenced by the persistent presence and stable development of natural, performance, and residential spaces within the original context. In terms of social space, Junzhuang Yangge occupies a canal space that embodies openness, integration, and interactivity, fostering a dynamic cultural milieu. The spiritual dimension is sustained through adherence to the Fire God belief system underpinning Junzhuang Yangge, alongside the enduring ethos of mutual respect, love, and concession, a reflection of millennia-old Chinese village life.
