Design of Unisex Casual Wear from Pleated Fabric for Teenagers

Abstract

The objectives were to design of unisex casual wear from pleated fabric for teenagers and to explore satisfaction of respondents towards unisex casual wear from pleated fabric for teenagers. Design inspiration from gender equity used to design five casual wear; coat, short sleeves blouse, long sleeves blouse, pants and culottes. Sewn prototype from chiffon dark color fabric. Used woman standard sizes L for loose clothing and elastic waist pants and culottes for wearable all gender. Explore satisfaction from respondents consisted of 120 students in Faculty of Home Economics Technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon by quota sampling from 60 males and 60 females. Collected data by online questionnaire and analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. The summary of general data from questionnaire it was found that; most of female age between 20-21 years old and female between 22-23 years old. Both of them studying in fourth-year of bachelor degree. Most of male were studying in Program of Home Economics Administration and female in Program of Fashion and Apparel Design. The overall mean of satisfaction towards all styles were high level. Male were satisfied than female towards short sleeves blouse, long sleeves blouse and culottes. Female satisfied coat than female and both of them were satisfied in close proximity on pants style.
