Abstract

This research aimed to: 1) examine the current conditions, desirable conditions, and priority needs for teacher teamwork in educational institutions; and 2) develop guidelines for teacher teamwork in educational institutions under the Sakon Nakhon Primary Educational Service Area Office 3. The quantitative sample consisted of 322 school administrators and teachers under the Sakon Nakhon Primary Educational Service Area Office 3. The research instrument was a questionnaire. Quantitative data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and the Modified Priority Needs Index. The qualitative phase employed semi-structured interviews with six key informants selected through purposive sampling. The qualitative data were analyzed using content analysis. The research findings revealed that: 1) The current state of teacher teamwork in educational institutions under the Sakon Nakhon Primary Educational Service Area Office 3 was at a high level, while the desirable state was at the highest level. The priority needs were ranked as follows: communication, appropriate leadership or followership roles, trust, cooperation and participation, and goal setting, respectively. 2) The guidelines for teacher teamwork in educational institutions under the Sakon Nakhon Primary Educational Service Area Office 3 covered five key areas: 1) Goal setting, 2) Communication, 3) Cooperation and participation, 4) Appropriate leadership or followership roles, and 5) Trust. All guidelines were confirmed and evaluated as highly applicable and effective.
