ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) TECHNOLOGY READINESS INFLUENCING BEHAVIORAL INTENTION TO USE AMONG STUDENTS AT RAMKHAMHAENG UNIVERSITY, BANGKOK
Abstract
This research aimed to investigate the factors influencing the intention to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) among students at Ramkhamhaeng University, Bangkok. From a total population of 142,595 students, a sample size of 420 was determined based on the Rule of Thumb. Convenience sampling was employed to select the sample, specifically screening for students with prior experience in using AI. The study was tested and conceptualized based on the Technology Readiness Index (TRI) and the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The findings revealed that Perceived Ease of Use had a statistically significant positive influence on the students' intention to use AI. Similarly, Perceived Usefulness was found to have a statistically significant positive impact on their intention to use. Furthermore, Optimism demonstrated a statistically significant positive influence on the usage intention. Lastly, the Discomfort factor also showed a statistically significant positive influence on the intention to use AI among Ramkhamhaeng University students in Bangkok.
