CONTENT VALIDITY AND RELIABILITY OF THE THAI SCHOOL PARTICIPATION SCALE FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL CHILDREN
Abstract
The objective of this research was to translate and examine the psychometric properties of the Thai version of the School Participation Questionnaire (SPQ-Thai) for primary school children. The results of the study revealed that: 1) the content validity of the SPQ-Thai was acceptable for all items, with Index of Item-Objective Congruence (IOC) values ranging from 0.67 to 1.00. 2) The SPQ-Thai demonstrated excellent reliability, with high internal consistency (Cronbach’s alpha = 0.96) and strong test-retest reliability (Intraclass Correlation Coefficient: ICC = 0.94). 3) The SPQ-Thai is a reliable and valid tool for assessing school participation among primary school children in Thailand.
