GUIDELINES FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF TECHNOLOGICAL LEADERSHIP OF SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS UNDER THE BANGKOK METROPOLITAN ADMINISTRATION, TALING CHAN DISTRICT OFFICE

Abstract

This research aimed to 1) study the level of technological leadership of school administrators under the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, Taling Chan District Office, and 2) propose guidelines for developing the technological leadership of school administrators under the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, Taling Chan District Office. The sample group consisted of 165 school administrators and teachers in schools under the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, Taling Chan District Office, in the academic year 2025. The sample size was determined using the Krejcie and Morgan sample size table. The research instruments included a questionnaire and an interview form. Quantitative data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, while qualitative data were analyzed using content analysis from interviews with five experts and experienced school administrators in educational administration and educational technology, selected through purposive sampling. The results of the study revealed that: 1) the overall level and each aspect of technological leadership of school administrators under the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, Taling Chan District Office were at a high level; and 2) the guidelines for developing technological leadership of school administrators consisted of five aspects: (1) technology vision, where administrators should establish a clear technological vision aligned with the policies of the parent organization and communicate it effectively to personnel; (2) the use of technology in administration, where administrators should utilize information technology for planning, decision-making, and data management to enhance organizational efficiency; (3) the use of technology in teaching and learning, where administrators should support resources and develop teachers’ skills in applying technology to promote student learning; (4) the use of technology in measurement and evaluation, where information systems should be used to collect, analyze, and utilize learning outcome data to improve educational management; and (5) ethics in technology use, where administrators should establish appropriate guidelines to ensure ethical and responsible use of technology.
