Abstract

The objectives of this research were: (1) to explore how factors of work motivation affect quality of work life; (2) to determine the effect of employee attitude and behavior towards the quality of work life; and (3) to determine how factors of employee stress affect quality of work life. This research used a quantitative approach to explore the relationships between factors of work-related stress and quality of work life. The population of this study was 400 employees in logistics companies. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including frequencies, percentages, and means. Hypotheses were tested with multiple regression. The findings were: (1) work motivation factors such as salary, job security, and career opportunities had a statistically significant effect towards the quality of work life with significance level 0.05; (2) employee attitude and behavior towards the quality of work life factors such as emotional labor and work environment statistically significant effect at a 0.05 level of significance, with the exception of the job agreement sub-variable and (3) employee stress factors such as workload and organizational culture had a statistically significant effect on the quality of work life with significance level 0.05 and one sub-variable: work life balance.
