THE USE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY FOR SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION IN SCHOOL NETWORK GROUP 59, BANG PHLAT DISTRICT OFFICE, BANGKOK METROPOLITAN ADMINISTRATION

In the present era, information technology plays an important role in school administration as it enhances the efficiency of data storage, processing, and decision-making for administrators. The integration of information technology into school administration has therefore become a significant factor in improving educational quality in response to the changes of the digital society. The objective of this research was to study the level of the use of information technology for school administration in schools under the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, Network Group 59, Bang Phlat District Office. The population consisted of school administrators and teachers from five schools under the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, Network Group 59, totaling 89 participants. The sample group included 73 participants, determined using the Krejcie and Morgan (1970) table and selected by stratified random sampling. The research instrument was a five-point rating scale questionnaire concerning the use of information technology for school administration in four aspects: academic administration, budget administration, personnel administration, and general administration. The Index of Item-Objective Congruence (IOC) ranged from 0.67 to 1.00, and the reliability coefficient was 0.895. Data were analyzed using mean and standard deviation. The research findings revealed that the overall level of the use of information technology for school administration in schools under the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, Network Group 59, Bang Phlat District Office was at a high level (x̄ = 4.46, S.D. = 0.49). When considering each aspect, general administration had the highest mean score at the highest level (x̄ = 4.52, S.D. = 0.44), followed by academic administration (x̄ = 4.49, S.D. = 0.46), personnel administration (x̄ = 4.43, S.D. = 0.50), and budget administration (x̄ = 4.38, S.D. = 0.57), respectively, all of which were at a high level.
