THE INFLUENCE OF QUALITY OF WORK LIFE ON EMPLOYEE RETENTION IN PRIVATE ORGANIZATIONS IN BANGKOK
Abstract
The purpose of this research is to study the quality of work life related to the retention of employees of private organization in Bangkok by separating as individual factor and to study the quality of employee’s life and retain such employee to stay with the organization long-lasting. This research is a quantitative research by using questionnaires as a tool to collect data for statistical analysis, t-test and f-test and Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation. The study found that (1) The most of respondent’s opinions were in the lowest level with the quality of work in life in adequate and fair compensation, an annual fair salary evaluation and opinions of employee retention in the organization were the highest-level including employees should receive other benefits. (2) The personnel factor by gender, age, occupation, average monthly salary and different working experience affected to the employee retention in the organization differently at the 0.05 level of significance, except educational factor. (3) The quality of work life related to the retention of employees in the organization found that the overall of quality of work in life and employee retention was at the 0.01 level of significance with relation level was quite high and in common direction. (r = .751). The most correlated relation was 3 sequences as follows: Social relevance, Constitutionalism and Adequate and fair compensation
