THE EFFECTIVENESS OF PUBLIC SERVICE OF BANGPOO SUB-DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY, SAMUT PRAKARN PROVINCE

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study the service effectiveness of Bang Poo Municipality, Samut Prakan Province andstudy the level of relationship between individual factors and service effectiveness of Bang Poo Municipality, Samut Prakan Province. The population used in the study was 30,911 people residing in Bangpoo Sub-District Municipality and 380 people were selected as the sample of the research, the sample size was determined by means of Krejcie & Morgan’s table. Questionnaires were used to collected data. The statistics uesd for the data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, the chi-squared test and the Pearson’s correlation.The results of the study showed that 1) the effectiveness of public services of Bang Poo Sub-district Municipality, Samut Prakan Province in the overall was at high level, when consideration to each aspect, it was found that the aspect with the highest average value was the hassle-free procedure, followed by convenience, speed, accuracy and fairness, getting a resolution or complaint good service, friendly to visitors, honesty, transparency in work, and lastly, to improve the service accordingly. 2) Relationship level: It was found that the factors of gender, age and average monthly income were not correlated with the service effectiveness of Bang Poo Municipality, Samut Prakan Province. The level of education is related to the effectiveness of the service of Bang Poo Sub-district Municipality, Samut Prakan Province.
