Abstract

This research aimed to develop a learning unit on tea processing as part of an additional vocational course on product processing. The unit was designed to promote scientific process skills in students with intellectual disabilities. The study also sought to examine the development of these skills in the students. The findings showed that the developed learning unit on tea processing was effective in enhancing the students' scientific process skills. The average scores on the scientific process skills assessment during the experimental phase (Phase 2) and the follow-up phase (Phase 3) were significantly higher than those in the baseline phase (Phase 1).The research concluded that teaching with the tea processing learning unit, along with the use of task analysis, is a vital approach for helping students with intellectual disabilities improve their scientific process skills.
