THE DEVELOPMENT OF SCIENCE PROCESS SKILL USING PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING WITH CHATGPT FOR GRADE 10 STUDENTS
Abstract
The objectives of the research aimed to develop Science Process Skills Using Problem-Based Learning with ChatGPT for Grade 10 Students to give the students’ average score not less than 70%, and not less than 70% of the student passed the criteria he target group consisted of 10 grade 28 students who was studying at the secondary school, under the Office of Secondary Education Service Area, Chonburi Rayong selected through purposive sampling. The research design was Action Research. The research instruments categorized into 3 categories were: 1) experiment tool, including 6 lesson plans for 12 hours, 2) reflection tool, consisting instruction records form, a teacher and student behavior observation form, student interview form and end-of-spiral quizzes on the student’s Science Process Skills test, and 3) evaluation tool consisting of the students’ Science Process Skills test. Quantitative data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, consisting arithmetic mean, standard deviation, and percentage, Qualitative data were analyzed by using content analysis. The findings revealed that the students’ average score 24.98 in science process skills was, equivalent to 83.21% of the total score. Additionally, 27 out of students, or 84.20%, met the proficiency benchmark, which exceeded the predetermined criteria.
