Abstract

The objective of the research was to develop Thai reading ability using Cooperative Learning (CIRC Technique) with Augmented Reality for grade 1 students. The success criteria were set such that students must achieve an average score of no less than 80% of the total score, and at least 80% of the students must meet the proficiency benchmark. The target group consisted of 16 Grade 1 students in Ban Talad School, under the Chaiyaphum Office of Primary Education Area 3, selected through purposive sampling. The research design was Action Research. The research instruments categorized into 3 categories were: 1) experiment tool, including 6 lesson plans for 12 hours, 2) reflection tool, consisting instruction records form, a teaching and student behavior observation form, a student interview form and end-of-spiral quizzes on the student’s pronunciation ability, and 3) evaluation tool consisting of the students’ pronunciation ability test. Quantitative data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, consisting arithmetic mean, standard deviation, and percentage, Qualitative data were analyzed by using content analysis. The findings revealed that the students’ average score in reading aloud proficiency was 16.50, equivalent to 82.50% of the total score. Additionally, 9 out of 10 students, or 90.00%, met the proficiency benchmark, which exceeded the predetermined criteria.
