FACTORS INFLUENCING E-SPORTS PLAYING BEHAVIOR OF UPPER SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS AT MARYWITTHAYA SCHOOL, NAKHON RATCHASIMA PROVINCE

Abstract

This independent study aimed to examine the levels of factors influencing e-sports playing behavior among upper secondary school students and to investigate the factors influencing e-sports playing behavior of upper secondary school students at Marywitthaya School, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. The sample consisted of 306 students from Marywitthaya School, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. The research instrument was a questionnaire, and the data were analyzed using statistical software. The analysis employed frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and stepwise multiple regression. The findings revealed that: The overall and specific aspects of factors influencing e-sports playing behavior among upper secondary school students at Marywitthaya School were at a high level. Considering the mean scores ranked from highest to lowest, the top three were: 1) personal factors, followed by 2) social and environmental factors, and 3) students’ e-sports playing behavior. Personal factors together with social and environmental factors significantly influenced e-sports playing behavior of the students. These two factors could jointly predict 75.70% of the variance in students’ e-sports playing behavior, with statistical significance at the .05 level.
