Abstract

This study aimed to design and developed cooperative learning activities based on the CIPPA Model, incorporating Jigsaw and Co-op Co-op techniques, to enhance social and emotional learning (SEL) and soft skills among graduate students in the Work Integrated Learning (WiL) program. The research employed an action research methodology. The participants included graduate students undergoing real workplace internships and relevant personnel from private sector organizations. Research instruments consisted of an activity effectiveness evaluation form, a SEL assessment tool, and a satisfaction questionnaire. The findings revealed that the implemented activities significantly improved students’ self-awareness, emotional regulation, communication, and responsible decision-making. Learners reported high levels of satisfaction and demonstrated effective application of the acquired skills in actual work environments. The results support the potential of the CIPPA Model combined with cooperative learning techniques in fostering essential 21st-century skills and suggest further implementation in other educational or professional contexts.
