China's increasing emphasis on national unity and educational equity has driven a growing interest in effective cultural diversity management, particularly within its multiethnic regions. This study explores broader strategic approaches to multicultural integration in Chinese higher education, with Yunnan Province serving as a representative case. As one of the most ethnically diverse areas in the country, Yunnan provides a meaningful context for examining inclusive education practices. Drawing on theoretical perspectives and regional policy trends, the paper identifies institutional challenges, highlights promising practices, and proposes policy-level strategies for fostering cultural cohesion, equity, and innovation in Chinese universities.
