Abstract

This research is a qualitative research to study the behavior of following T-pop artists of Generation Z. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with a sample group of 5 people who had been following the artist continuously for at least 7 years using a structured question format. The data collection period was 7-15 April 2025. The research results concluded that Gen Z fans' first exposure to an artist is often through social media and recommendations from acquaintances. However, whether or not they decide to continue following depends on their first impression of the artist from various aspects. And once they decide to follow, they will systematically divide their time following the artist at various shows, i.e., they try to go to every show and plan their life activities to fit in with their work schedule as much as possible. However, if they have really important commitments, they won't go. For artist support, there are many forms depending on the convenience and various factors of each person. It can be divided into 3 types: 1) Home base admin form, 2) Support team form, and 3) Screen team form. In terms of reactions from the artist, it was found that fans thought it should be there for the satisfaction of following in whatever form the artist is comfortable with. The final point is that following artists is an important part that inspires them to want to develop themselves in various aspects or stimulates motivation to practice new skills that have never been done before in life.
