ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT AND EDUCATIONAL ADMINISTRATION BY EDUCATIONAL PERSONNEL IN A SECONDARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA AT A PLACE

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to assess the level of organizational commitment, 2) to study the level of educational administration, and 3) to examine the relationship between organizational commitment and educational administration among educational personnel in a secondary education service area office. The sample used in this research comprised 300 educational personnel. The research instrument was a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using means, standard deviations, and Pearson correlation coefficients. The results of the research revealed that 1) The overall organizational commitment of the educational personnel in the secondary education service area office was at a high level. When considered by aspect, the highest level was the desire to maintain membership in the organization, followed by the willingness to dedicate time and effort to the organization, and finally, acceptance of the organization's goals 2) The overall educational administration was at a high level. When considered by aspect, the highest level was academic administration, followed by general administration, budget administration, and personnel administration. 3) The relationship between organizational commitment and educational administration among the educational personnel in the secondary education service area office, overall, had a positive correlation at a moderate level, with statistical significance at the 0.01 level.
