THE FACTORS OF QUALITY CULTURE AND EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS OF EDUCATION PERSONNEL IN A SECONDARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE AT A PLACE
Abstract
This research aimed to: 1) study the level of quality culture factors; 2) study the level of excellence in educational institutions; and 3) study the relationship between quality culture factors and excellence in educational institutions among educational personnel of a secondary education service area office. The sample used in this research consisted of 385 educational personnel. The instrument used was a questionnaire. The statistics used for data analysis included the mean, standard deviation, and Pearson correlation coefficient analysis. The study found that: 1) overall, quality culture factors were at a moderate level. When considered by individual aspects, it was found that the highest-ranked aspect was personnel development, followed by motivation in work, and teamwork ranked last; 2) overall, excellence in educational institutions was at a high level. When classified by individual aspects, it was found that the highest-ranked aspect was leadership quality, followed by the quality of teachers and personnel in educational institutions, the quality of learners, and the quality of teaching and learning ranked last; 3) the analysis of the relationship between quality culture factors and excellence in educational institutions using multiple regression had a value of 0.912 and could explain the variance of quality culture factors and excellence in educational institutions with statistical significance at the 0.01 level at 87.80% (R² = 0.878). The hypothesis testing results showed that quality culture factors and excellence in educational institutions had statistical significance at the 0.01 level.
