Abstract
The objectives of this research were to 1) study the level of participation, 2) study the level of school administration, and 3) study the relationship between the participation and the school administration of parents of students in Bangkok. The sample group used in this research consisted of 385 educational personnel, determined using Taro Yamane's sample size table. The tools used were questionnaires. The statistics used for data analysis included mean, standard deviation, and Pearson's correlation coefficient. The findings were as follows 1) The overall participation was at a high level. When considered by aspect, the highest level was found in participation in decision-making, followed by participation in benefits, participation in operation, and the last was participation in evaluation. 2) The overall school administration was at a high level. When classified by aspect, the highest level was found in academic work, followed by general administration, personnel administration, and the last was budget administration. 3) The relationship between the participation and the school administration of parents of students in Bangkok, using multiple regression analysis, found that the participation in decision-making, participation in operation, participation in benefits, and participation in evaluation gave a multiple correlation coefficient (R) value of 0.912 and could explain the variance in the participation and the school administration with a statistical significance level of 0.01 at 87.80% (R2 = 0.878). The hypothesis test results on the participation and the school administration of parents of students in Bangkok were statistically significant at the 0.01 level.
