Abstract

This research explores the role and impact of the Darul Dakwah Wal Irsyad (DDI) on private education in Indonesia. Founded by the late Ambo Dalle, DDI has significantly influenced the Indonesian educational landscape, particularly in shaping the character and values of students within the framework of Islamic teachings. The study investigates the pedagogical approaches employed by DDI-affiliated schools, focusing on the integration of Islamic values, character building, and academic excellence. It examines the curriculum, teaching methodologies, and extracurricular activities implemented in these institutions, analyzing their effectiveness in fostering holistic development among students. Furthermore, the research explores the social and cultural impact of DDI-affiliated schools on their respective communities. It investigates the role of these institutions in promoting interfaith dialogue, fostering social cohesion, and contributing to the development of human resources in Indonesia. By analyzing the unique characteristics and contributions of DDI-affiliated schools, this research aims to provide valuable insights into the role of Islamic values in education, the impact of private education on Indonesian society, and the legacy of Ambo Dalle's vision for a just and equitable society.
