WORK VALUES AND WORKPLACE ATTACHMENT PREDICTING COLLABORATION OF EMPLOYEES
Abstract
The objectives of this research 1) To study the levels of collaboration, work values, and workplace attachment among employees. 2) To examine the relationships between collaboration, work values, and workplace attachment. 3) To predict collaboration based on work values and workplace attachment among employees. The population and sample used in this research consisted of employees working in private companies within the air-conditioning industry. The sample size comprised 322 participants. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The statistical tools used for data analysis included percentage, frequency, mean, standard deviation, correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The findings revealed that 1) Employees demonstrated high levels of collaboration and work values across all dimensions, with an average score at a high level. However, workplace attachment across all dimensions was reported at a moderate level on average. 2) All dimensions of work values showed a significant positive correlation with employees’ collaboration at a high level, with statistical significance at the .01 level. 3) Workplace attachment, particularly secure attachment, was positively correlated with employees’ collaboration at a high level, with statistical significance at the .01 level. 4) Work values related to creativity, aesthetics, and altruism, along with secure workplace attachment, could predict employees’ collaboration at a rate of 56.8%.
