THE DEVELOPMENT OF PERSONNEL SKILL FOR DIGITAL AGE OF THE OFFICE OF THE PERMANENT SECRETARY, MINISTRY OF EDUCATION

Abstract

This research aims to study the development of personnel to support work in the digital age of the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, and to compare personnel development based on individual factors. The study is quantitative in nature, with data collected from 207 employees working at the central office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, using a simple random sampling method. Data were analyzed using frequency distribution, percentages, means, and standard deviations. Hypothesis testing was conducted using a t-test for gender variables and an f-test (One-way ANOVA) for age, education level, position, and work experience variables. The findings revealed that 1) Overall, the personnel of the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, demonstrated a moderate level of development in adapting to work in the digital age 2) Personnel with different gender, education level, and position exhibited no significant differences in development for working in the digital age. However, personnel with differing ages and years of service showed significant differences in their development to support work in the digital age.
