CAUSAL RELATIONS BETWEEN PUBLIC PARTICIPATION AND THE SUCCESS OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT OF NAKHON RATCHASIMA MUNICIPALITY
Abstract
This research aimed to describe success level of Nakhon Ratchasima Municipality in managing its projects and level of public participation in project management of Nakhon Ratchasima Municipality, examine causal relations between public participation and project management success, and compare public discernments on project management success classified by personal factors. The population included household heads residing in communities of Nakhon Ratchasima Municipality. Data were collected from a sample of 200 people through questionnaire and analyzed via mean, standard deviation, multiple regression analysis, and three-way analysis of variance. The findings revealed that the level of both the success and public participation in project management of Nakhon Ratchasima Municipality were at a moderate level. The public participation influenced project management success of Nakhon Ratchasima Municipality. Different genders caused dissimilar opinions on project management success of Nakhon Ratchasima Municipality, with statistical significance at the 0.05 level.
