EXPECTATIONS OF PARENTS REGARDING TEACHING AND LEARNING ARRANGEMENTS FOR SPECIAL ENGLISH CLASSROOM PROGRAM PATUMKONGKA SAMUTPRAKAN SCHOOL
Abstract
This research aimed to study and compare the expectations of 194 students' parents regarding the teaching and learning arrangements for the Special English Classroom Project at Patumkongka School, Samut Prakan, categorized by personal factors. The study's findings revealed that: 1) The overall level of expectation among parents of students in the English Special Classroom Project at Patumkongka School, Samut Prakan, was high. in descending order, the average scores for each aspect were: teachers and educational personnel, teaching management, educational opportunities, expenses, and English skills. 2) When comparing the expectations of parents based on personal factors, it was found that parents with different genders, ages, educational levels, and occupations had similar overall and individual expectations. However, parents with different income levels had significantly different overall expectations. Specifically, there were no significant differences in expectations concerning teachers and educational personnel, English skills, and expenses. In contrast, expectations related to teaching management and educational opportunities showed statistically significant differences at the 0.05 level.
