OCCUPATIONAL GUIDELINES AND ATTITUDES TOWARDS THE CAREER OF NIGHT MUSICIANS IN HUAI KHWANG DISTRICT BANGKOK
Abstract
The objective of this research were to study occupational guidelines, attitude towards the night musician in Huai Khwang district, Bangkok. Key informants were 9 persons of the night musicians in Huai Khwang district, Bangkok. Data were collected by in-depth interview. Descriptive analysis was use to data analysing. Research results showed that 1) Occupational guidelines found that entering the career of a night musician Caused by the motivation of liking at Night Musicians, information providers will have basic knowledge and skills in playing music. from family support And the income incentive is that musicians will earn about 800-1500 baht each day for playing music for 1 hour and 30 minutes, and each night they can work at more than 1 place, depending on their diligence and travel. 2) Attitude towards the career of night musicians. It was found that night musicians have an attitude towards their own career. Because I get to do work that I like and love. And a career as a night musician is a career with good income. But there is no stability and has a short working life Due to high competition and an increasing number of new generations. This causes night musicians to have to adapt to various situations such as music genres and dress in order to be appropriate and fashionable.
