Abstract

This research aims to study: 1) the methods and models of knowledge management to enhance work efficiency, and 2) the problems and obstacles in knowledge management in the work of traffic management employees of the Prachim Ratthaya Expressway, Expressway Authority of Thailand. The research utilized document research and field research methods, collecting data through structured interviews. It is qualitative research involving 15 key informants to gather and analyze the collected data. The research findings revealed that the knowledge management process in the work of traffic management employees initially involves theoretical training, followed by practical training, to enhance work efficiency and capacity. Problems and obstacles in knowledge management during work include the transfer of knowledge between individuals. Despite receiving both theoretical and practical training, when applied in real situations, there might be discrepancies from the training information. Additionally, daily work problems present different scenarios. Recommendations for solving these knowledge management problems and obstacles include compiling acquired knowledge into electronic formats. This would allow traffic management employees easy access, reducing complicated access steps, and enabling comprehensive knowledge searches.
