Abstract

The research “The Trend of the Music Curriculum of Rajabhat University Consistent with Student Development in the 21st Century” aims to 1. analyze the music curriculum at Rajabhat University 2. study its structure and learning outcomes to align with 21st-century skills 3. develop the curriculum to adapt to changes in the 21st century. This research uses EDFR techniques, divided into three issues. The first issue categorizes the music curriculum of Rajabhat Universities offering music studies. The curriculum includes 127-140 total credits, with 89-104 credits in music, divided into core subjects, specialized subjects, major subjects, professional practice subjects, and English for professionals. The second issue examines the structure and learning outcomes using EDFR techniques to enhance 21st-century skills. The curriculum structure for specialized subjects includes content like music creativity, technology, and composition (interquartile range 0.5). It incorporates activities to develop skills in English communication and technology use in teaching (interquartile range 1.0). Additionally, activities supporting teaching and learning aim to develop skills such as performance management, organizing meetings, leadership, planning, communication, teamwork, creativity, and integrating various sciences (interquartile range 1.0). The third issue analyzes group discussions and questionnaires, summarizing the curriculum into 121 total credits: General Subjects, Music Subjects, and Free Elective Subjects. Music Subjects are further divided into Core subjects including Music History, Specialized subjects covering Music Creativity and Technology, Major subjects for theoretical and practical music, Theory and Composition, Skill and Performance, and Professional Practice (WIL).
