PROBLEMS AND OBSTACLES IN THE GOVERNMENT'S POLICY ON THE USE OF AGRICULTURAL CHEMICALS

The objectives of this research were 1) To study the problems and obstacles of the government's agricultural chemical use policy, 2) To study the government's agricultural chemical use behavior 3) To study knowledge and understanding of the use of government agricultural chemicals. The research model is qualitative research. The research area was Phai Tam Subdistrict, Nong Khae District, Saraburi Province. The sample consisted of 2 people in the district agricultural office, 3 agricultural pesticide distributors and 5 agricultural pesticide users in a total of 10 participants. Problems and obstacles of the government's agricultural chemical use policy of consumers found that agricultural chemicals such as paraquat, chlorpyrifos and glyphosate It affects food production in Thailand, but it also affects the health of farmers and the environment. Elimination of such pesticides in agriculture can affect yields. The use of chemicals also affects the environment and the wildlife that may be in the area where the chemicals are used. It is to reduce the potential impact on the environment and humans. The knowledge and understanding of the use of agricultural chemicals by the government found that it was important to reduce the risks from the use of chemicals. Pesticides must be stored in a cool, dry place. It must also be stored in a safe place without chemical leakage or harmful to people and the environment. Chemicals should be stored in their original packaging. Carefully read the information label on the chemical label before using the pesticide.
