Abstract

This exploratory study aims to study the knowledge and behavior of waste management in Wat Pho Thong Lang community, Village no.7, Bang Khen subdistrict, Muang Nonthaburi district, Nonthaburi province. The study was conducted in a sample group. People aged 20-60 years and over, who live in Wat Pho Thong Lang community, Village no. 7, Bang Khen subdistrict, Muang Nonthaburi district, Nonthaburi province. Number of people: 50 people by selecting a convenience sample and use questionnaires which includes Questions about personal factors and questions that measure community waste management the researcher applied and referred to the questionnaire from Ms. Vipanee Uchupac.
The results of the study found that Most of the sample group Number 1 in having knowledge and understanding of correct waste management includes: The type of waste accounted for 93.33 percent, Waste separation Accounting for 87.2 percent, and reducing waste Accounting for 86.5 percent followed in order For the waste management behavior of the sample group, it was found that Waste reduction Most of the sample group Has the most regular practice behaviors: Choosing products that are durable or has a long service life Regarding the use of solid waste/scrap materials. Most of the sample group Has the most regular practice behaviors: Reusing used water bottles/sweet drink bottles for other uses. In terms of waste disposal Damaged equipment and materials to be repaired Most of the sample group Has the most regular practice behaviors: Things are brought Appliances come in for repairs, such as tables and chairs. In terms of waste disposal Scrap materials are recycled for use or processing. Most of the sample group Has the most regular practice behaviors: Collecting used bottles or cans of soft drinks Sell it to an antique shop, and avoidance of materials that are difficult to destroy Most of the sample group Has the most regular practice behaviors: Avoiding the use of products made from plastic or foil.
