Abstract

This research aimed 1) to compare the efficiency of disaster management by classifying according to personal factors, and 2) to study the factors in terms of the 7S models of organizational management, which have an impact on the efficiency of disaster management in Chon Buri District, Chon Buri Province, classified according to personal factors. Samples of this research were Public Relief Officer in Mueang District Chonburi Province with a total of 400 samples. The questionnaire was used as a tool for collecting the data. The data collected was analyzed by using the frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. The hypotheses were tested by Independent Samples (T-test), and One-Way ANOVA (F-test), in case it contained statistically significant differences when testing a pair of variables by LSD. This was used to test the hypothesis for each pair in order to see which pair was different with Multiple Regression Analysis. The results of the research found that personal factors affect the effectiveness of disaster management. In terms of age, experience in the organization, position level, and unit affiliation, have different effects on the effectiveness of disaster management. And the factors that affect the effectiveness of disaster management in Chon Buri district, Chon Buri province, include the following: Organizational strategy Organizational structure Personnel Skills Operating system and abilities Management style and Shared values.
