FACTORS AFFECTING THE DEVELOPMENT THE WORKS EFFICIENCY OF FREIGHT TRUCK DRIVERS: A CASE STUDY UAN CONTAINER COMPANY LIMITED
Abstract
The objectives of this research are 1) to study the level of efficiency development in the operational performance of cargo truck drivers at Aun Container Company Limited, and 2) to compare the differences between the efficiency development in the operational performance of cargo truck drivers at Aun Container Company Limited and the individual factors. The questionnaire was used as a tool to collect data from 226 cargo truck drivers at Aun Container Company Limited. The descriptive statistics, t-tests, and F-tests, were employed. The research findings indicate that 1) the overall efficiency development in the operational performance of cargo truck drivers at Aun Container Company Limited is at a high level, and 2) the cargo truck drivers with different durations of work experience exhibit differences in the efficiency development in operational performance at Aun Container Company Limited. Meanwhile, there are no significant differences in age, education level, and average monthly income among the drivers. The insights gained from this research can guide business operators in the cargo transportation sector in managing human resources effectively, from policy formulation to operational and various activities, to maximize benefits for the organization as well as enhancing the overall organizational efficiency.
