QUALITY OF WORKING LIFE (QWL) AFFECTING THE OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY OF FINANCE DEPARTMENT PERSONNEL IN LOCAL ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATION IN ROI ET

Abstract

This research aimed to: 1) study the level of quality of working life of finance department personnel in local administrative organizations in Roi Et Province, 2) study the level of operational efficiency of finance department personnel in local administrative organizations in Roi Et Province, 3) compare the operational efficiency of finance department personnel in local administrative organizations in Roi Et Province classified by personal factors, including gender, age, marital status, education level, organization affiliation, job position, and average monthly income, and 4) examine the relationship and effect of quality of working life on the operational efficiency of finance department personnel in local administrative organizations in Roi Et Province. Data were collected via questionnaires from a sample of 400 respondents and analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics, including independent t-test, One-Way ANOVA (F-test), Pearson's correlation coefficient analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The results indicated that the overall quality of working life of finance department personnel in local administrative organizations in Roi Et Province was at a high level (Mean = 3.82, SD = 0.47). The overall operational efficiency of finance department personnel in local administrative organizations in Roi Et Province was also at a high level (Mean = 4.51, SD = 0.38). Quality of working life had a positive relationship with operational efficiency, ranging from low to moderate levels (r = 0.216-0.538). Regarding the factors of quality of working life, social integration or working together had the highest effect on operational efficiency (Beta = 0.300), followed by constitutionalism in the work organization (Beta = 0.199), and a safe and healthy working environment (Beta = 0.106), respectively.
