DEVELOPMENT OF INSTRUCTIONAL MEDIA ON ONLINE CRIME FOR UNIVERSITY STUDENTS USING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND A DIGITAL LEARNING GAME ON THE ZEP QUIZ PLATFORM
Abstract
This research aimed to: (1) develop a learning game on online crimes using the ZEP Quiz platform; and (2) investigate students’ satisfaction with the developed learning game. The research process was divided into three phases. Phase 1: Analysis and determination of online crime content relevant to students’ daily lives, particularly types of scams and deceptive practices that students are likely to encounter. Phase 2: Development of the content into a mission-based learning game on the ZEP Quiz platform. Generative AI was applied to assist in drafting 10 true-or-false questions, after which the researcher reviewed and verified the accuracy and appropriateness of the questions. Phase 3: Testing and evaluation of students’ satisfaction with the developed learning game. The target group consisted of 50 first-year students majoring in Forensic Science at Rangsit University. The participants were selected using purposive sampling from students majoring in Forensic Science who were enrolled in the Police Administration course. The results revealed that overall satisfaction with the learning game was at the highest level (= 4.51, S.D. = 0.60). When considering each dimension, usefulness for daily life achieved the highest mean score (= 4.58, S.D. = 0.57), followed by question content appropriateness (= 4.54, S.D. = 0.58), fun (= 4.50, S.D. = 0.58), ease of use (= 4.48, S.D. = 0.58), and attractiveness (= 4.46, S.D. = 0.68), respectively.
