QUALITY OF WORK LIFE OF OFFICIALS OF VADHANA DISTRICT, BANGKOK METROPOLITAN ADMINISTRATION

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study: 1) The Quality of work Life of Officials of Vadhana District, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and 2) Compare the opinions of the Quality of work Life of Officials of Vadhana District, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, classified by personal factors. This study employed a quantitative research method. The populations for in this research were officials of Vadhana District totaling 124 persons. Data were collected using a questionnaire and the statistics used in data analysis including frequency, percentage, mean, Standard Deviation and hypothesis testing by t-test, One-way Analysis of Variance and comparative tests performed using Fisher's method. The results of research found that: 1) The officials of Vadhana District, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, most of them were female, ages in 40 to 49 years old, education with a bachelor's degree, Practitioner Level, and an average monthly income not exceeding 20,000 Baht. 2) The quality of work life of officials of Vadhana District, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration overall was at a high level, when considering each aspect; the highest average was found in the social relevance of the work life, followed by the growth and security, the development of human capacities, the social integration, the organizational constitutionalism, the safe and healthy environment, the balance between work and personal life, and the adequate and fair compensation, respectively. 3) The Comparative analysis of the quality of work life of officials of Vadhana District, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, classified by personal factors revealed that the officials with different genders and ages did not have statistically significant differences in their opinions toward the quality of work life. However, respondents with different educational levels, positions, and average monthly incomes had statistically significant different opinions toward the quality of work life at the 0.05 level.
