THE PUBLIC SERVICE QUALITY OF REGISTRATION SECTION, VADHANA DISTRICT, BANGKOK METROPOLITAN ADMINISTRATION

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study: 1) The public service quality of the Registration Section, Vadhana District, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, and 2) To compare the opinions of the public service quality of the Registration Section, Vadhana District, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, classified by personal factors. This study employed a quantitative research method. The sample consisted of 334 persons who received services from the registration section, Vadhana District. Data were collected using a questionnaire and the statistics used in data analysis including frequency, percentage, mean, Standard Deviation and hypothesis testing by t-test, One-way Analysis of Variance and comparative tests performed using Fisher's method. The results of research found that: 1) The people who received services from the registration section, Vadhana District, most of them were females, aged 30-39 years old, with a Bachelor's degree level, working as a government official/state enterprises employee, and having an average monthly income between 20,001-30,000 Baht. 2) The public service quality of the Registration Section, Vadhana District overall was at a highest level, when considering each aspect; the highest average was found in Reliability, followed by Assurance, Tangibility of service, Empathy, and Responsiveness to customers, respectively. 3) The comparative results of the opinions of service recipients classified by personal factors, revealed that the respondents with different genders, educational levels, and occupations did not have statistically significant differences in their opinions toward the public service quality. However, respondents with different ages and average monthly incomes had statistically significant different opinions toward the service quality at the 0.05 level.
