THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN WORK MOTIVATION AND THE PERFORMANCE EFFICIENCY OF PERSONNEL AT LAMPANG HOSPITAL
Abstract
The objectives of this research were to: 1) study the level of work motivation among personnel at Lampang Hospital 2) study the level of performance efficiency among personnel at Lampang Hospital 3) investigate the performance efficiency of personnel at Lampang Hospital classified by personal factors 4) study the relationship between work motivation and the performance efficiency of personnel at Lampang Hospital. The sample consisted of 347 personnel from Lampang Hospital, selected using stratified random sampling. Questionnaire were used as an instrument to collect data. Statistics used to analysis data were Frequency, Percentage, Mean, Standard deviation, T-test, F-test (One-way ANOVA), and Pearson's correlation coefficient. The finding revealed that; 1) the overall level of work motivation among personnel at Lampang Hospital was high 2) the overall level of performance efficiency among personnel at Lampang Hospital was at the highest level 3) personnel with different genders, educational levels, and positions showed no significant differences in performance efficiency, whereas personnel with different ages and work experience showed significant differences in performance efficiency significance level of 0.05 4) work motivation was significantly related to the performance efficiency of personnel at Lampang Hospital significance level of 0.01.
