Abstract

The objective of this research was to study learning achievement in pioneering subjects using augmented reality (AR) to transfer knot-tying skills to Boy and Girl Scouts. While also evaluating their satisfaction with the system. The results of the study on learning achievement before and after learning, using the paired samples t-test, showed that post-test learning achievement was higher than pre-test learning achievement in all aspects, namely (1) accuracy and completeness of knots, (2) beauty of knots, (3) tightness and strength of knots, and (4) speed of tying. This shows that learning through augmented reality system for transferring knot tying skills resulted in a statistically significant improvement in the students' learning achievement at the .05 level. Participants expressed high satisfaction with the AR system, specifically regarding its ability to stimulate critical thinking, ease of use, and content accuracy.
