Developing English Reading Comprehension Skills by Using Mind Mapping of grade 2 students at Ban Keng School

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to compare English reading ability. Before and after school of Prathom Suksa 2 students of Ban Kheng School Using mind mapping (Mind Mapping) and to develop English reading comprehension. By using Mind Mapping of Prathom Suksa 2 students at Ban Keng School, the sample group used in this research were Prathom Suksa 2 students. The subjects were 10 students from Ban Keng School who studied English reading and writing subjects in the second semester of the academic year 2022, which were mixed students who were good, medium and weak. The research tools were: 4 learning management plans, 2 periods each, 50 minutes each, totaling 8 periods. Mind Mapping English reading comprehension test before and after the lesson. Multiple-choice, 30 items, 4 options and 2 items were subjective. Statistics used in data analysis were mean, percentage, standard deviation. The hypothesis was tested using the t-distribution t-value. Ability to read English using mind mapping (Mind Mapping) of grade 2 students Ban Keng School, 10 students, the results showed that the learning management using mind mapping after learning was higher than before learning at the statistical significance level of .05.
