Development of the Supplies Management System of Chiang Mai Rajabhat University Library

Abstract

This research is a developmental study aimed at enhancing the supply management system and investigating user satisfaction with its use at ChiangMai Rajabhat University Library. The sample group consisted of 30 persons who were carefully chosen. This group included administrators and staff from the Library Office, as well as procurement personnel from four supporting divisions within the institution. The research methodology employed encompassed interviews, transcripts of group conversations, and questionnaires to assess satisfaction.Data analysis encompassed content analysis utilising statistical measures such as percentages, means, and standard deviations. The research development will adhere to the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and utilise PHP as the programming language, along with MySQL as the database, for managing the supplies system, generating supplies-repairing status reports, and conducting supplies examinations. This system comprises two components: system administrators and system users. The evaluation of user satisfaction revealed that users expressed a high level of satisfaction with the overall system (mean = 4.53). When evaluating each topic, the system's database security (  = 4.60), system's usability (  = 4.58), and system's performance (  = 4.55) received the highest satisfaction ratings.
