On Sunday, June 22, 2025, from 09.00 to 14.00, the editorial board of the Journal of Applied Humanities Studies attended a professional development seminar for journal editors, peer reviewers, and academic authors. The event was organized by Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, Nakhon Si Thammarat Campus and Buddhist Anthropology Journal (Indexed in TCI Tier 1 and SCOPUS), affiliated with Wat Wang Tawan Tok, Mueang District, Nakhon Si Thammarat
Venue: Fortune 1 Conference Room, Grand Fortune Hotel, Nakhon Si Thammarat at Fortune 1 Meeting Room (1st Floor), Grand Fortune Hotel, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province.
The seminar featured a keynote lecture by Professor Dr. Narongrit Sombattsompop, Head of the Thai Journal Citation Index Centre (TCI), on the topic:
“Editorial Review – Peer Review – Decision Making: Development Pathways”
The morning session focused on strategies for enhancing journal management systems, aiming to meet national and international standards, along with guidance on how to be indexed in recognized academic databases.
The afternoon session addressed ethical issues and standards in the publication of academic research, specifically tailored for editors, reviewers, and authors.
Participation in this seminar provided a valuable opportunity for the editorial board of the Journal of Applied Humanities Studies to gain insights and apply best practices in improving the journal’s quality, with the goal of achieving inclusion in national citation indexes in the near future.
