Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy

The journal establishes guidelines for the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and related technologies to ensure that the preparation, evaluation, and publication of academic articles are conducted with transparency, ethical responsibility, and in accordance with international standards. The policy is outlined as follows.

1. Use of AI by Authors

Authors may use Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to support certain stages of the manuscript preparation process, such as:

  • Language editing

  • Improving sentence structure and writing style

  • Assisting in summarizing or organizing preliminary information

However, authors must clearly disclose the use of AI tools in the manuscript. Such disclosure should be stated at the end of the article, for example under the section “AI Use Statement” or “Acknowledgements.”

Authors remain fully responsible for the entire content of the manuscript, even if AI tools have been used in writing, analyzing, or organizing the material.

Authors must not use AI for activities that violate academic ethics, including:

  • Fabrication of research data

  • Falsification or manipulation of research results

  • Generation of non-existent or fabricated references

AI tools cannot be listed as an author of a manuscript because they cannot take responsibility for the academic content or the ethical aspects of publication.

2. Use of AI by Reviewers

Reviewers should not upload or input any part of the manuscript or related confidential information into publicly accessible AI systems, such as ChatGPT or other AI tools, as this may risk the disclosure of confidential manuscript content.

Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and adhere strictly to the ethical principles of peer review.

3. Use of AI by Editors

Editors may use AI tools to support certain aspects of the editorial process, such as:

  • Preliminary language editing

  • Checking text similarity (in conjunction with plagiarism detection systems)

  • Verifying manuscript formatting according to the journal's guidelines

However, the final decision to accept or reject a manuscript remains solely the responsibility of the editorial board.

4. Transparency and Academic Ethics

The journal supports the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence. Authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to adhere to the following core principles:

  • Transparency

  • Academic Integrity

  • Publication Ethics

If inappropriate or unethical use of AI is detected, the journal reserves the right to:

  • Reject the manuscript

  • Retract the article

  • Take appropriate action in accordance with the journal’s publication ethics policies
