Plagiarism Policy

The journal places great importance on academic integrity, transparency, and the credibility of scholarly publications. Therefore, it establishes a policy on plagiarism to prevent the improper use or copying of others’ work without appropriate acknowledgment. All authors must ensure that the manuscripts submitted to the journal are original works that have not been previously published and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

1. Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism refers to the use of text, ideas, data, images, tables, or any academic work of others, in whole or in part, without proper citation or acknowledgment of the original source. This also includes the reuse of one's own previously published work without proper citation, commonly referred to as self-plagiarism.

2. Plagiarism Screening Process

All manuscripts submitted to the journal will be screened for textual similarity using CopyCatch through the ThaiJo (Thai Journals Online) system before entering the peer review process. This procedure ensures that all submitted manuscripts comply with academic ethical standards.

3. Similarity Threshold

The journal sets the following criteria for similarity checking:

  • Manuscripts with plagiarism or duplication exceeding 20 percent, as detected by CopyCatch on the ThaiJo system, will be considered not meeting the journal’s initial requirements.

  • The editorial board may return the manuscript to the author for revision or reject the submission, depending on the nature and extent of the detected similarity.

4. Actions in Cases of Plagiarism

If plagiarism is detected at any stage of the publication process, the journal will take the following actions:

  1. Before publication – The manuscript will be rejected or returned to the author for necessary revisions.

  2. After publication – If plagiarism is discovered after publication, the journal may issue a retraction of the article and notify the author’s affiliated institution.

  3. In cases of serious plagiarism, the author may be prohibited from submitting manuscripts to the journal for a specified period as determined by the editorial board.

5. Responsibilities of Authors and the Editorial Board

Authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the content, proper citation practices, and respect for intellectual property rights. The editorial board is responsible for maintaining ethical standards in the editorial and publication processes in accordance with recognized international academic publishing standards.
