Abstract

This research aims to study the image of teachers as shown in the novel, Kru Baan Nok by Khamman Konkai by means of qualitative research. The research method selects a specific target group from studying the text of printed media documents, namely the novel Kru Ban Nok by Khamman Konkai, published by Mingmit Publishing House in 2010, as data for the information is presented in a descriptive and analytical manner.

The research results found that the image of teachers as shown in the novel Kru Ban Nok by Khamman Konkai can be divided into 2 types: positive image and negative image. There are 4 positive images: 1. Teachers who perform their duties and responsibilities,  2. Teachers who devote themselves to society, 3. Teachers who adhere to the ideology of being a teacher, and 4. Teachers who are compassionate. There are 4 negative images: 1. Teachers who are irresponsible for their duties, 2. Teachers who abuse their power, 3. Teachers who lack morality and ethics, and 4. Teachers who lack the spirit of being a teacher. Studying the image of teachers in the novel.
