The Industrial Plant Environmental Management: A Case Study of Umchan Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Kusuman District, Sakon Nakhon Province

Abstract

          This research is aimed at studying the problems caused by industrial plants affecting the environment in the community, studying environmental management from industrial plants of the district administrative organization, and suggesting environmental management methods of the subdistrict administrative organization; in which collecting data using qualitative research including semi-structured interviews and unstructured observations and employing purposive key informants. The study result have shown that community problems are affected by air pollution, noise pollution, water pollution, and roads pollution. In term of environmental management aspects of the district administrative organization have performed according to legal and in term of recommendation, local people want to collaborate with to have strict environmental measures in place.
